On January 15th, 1920, a horrifying disaster struck Boston's North End. A massive reservoir containing over 2 million gallons of molasses ruptured. The sticky goo surged through the streets like a tsunami, obliterating everything in its path. Scores of people lost their lives, and many more sustained injuries. Buildings were destroyed, and the ste
